Designing Memory Care units is a great passion of Barbara’s. The Interior Impressions team was honored to play a role in the planning and furnishing of this space. The primary challenge involved were the three long corridors that created unwanted wandering space that led to exterior doors. Barbara worked closely with the CEO and contractor to turn this problem area into an interactive experience, complete with a general store, farmers’ market, and barn space. They were also able to incorporate a warming kitchen, an art and activity area, as well as an enclosed exterior walking path for the Alzheimer residents. Barbara has since returned to work on other spaces within this facility.
